First off I just wanted to thank everyone that stops by and reads my blog. I only told my immediate family about this, and somehow it seems like half of Cincinnati knows about my blog. People that I don't even know are reading and leaving comments. I appreciate all the views.
I write this blog for one main reason: To give everyone back in the states a small taste of what we go through over here. You're never going to understand Iraq, and why things happen the way they do over here unless you see it for yourself. But I can do my part to give you guys a clue. Understand that you don't have to read my blog if you don't want to. I'm going to write about Iraq and my experiences as I see it through my own eyes. I won't "sugar coat" anything for anyone just to make it more enjoyable. I'm not going to give false views or perceptions, or in any way "twist" anything just to please the readers. I'm going to write a blunt, personal account of what goes on here. If you don't like it, don't read it.
Also know that anyone can leave comments on my posts. Underneath the post itself there is a link to write comments. I would ask that you don't leave any harsh or derogatory comments. Also if you could leave your name so I know who left the comment. There's been a few comments left already where I have no clue who wrote them. Thanks again for all the views!

Right on David. Call it like you see it. Tell the truth. I for one want to understand as much as I can and I'll be there for you. I promise.

That is what I call a first class statement about journalistic integrity. The world could use some more truth telling like that.
